The first thing that stands out when you lift Britney out of the box is the weight. Even though Britney weighs a modest 27.3lb (12.4kg) – much lighter than the Candice doll’s 42lb or the Monroe’s 68.3lb – it’s still surprising! Torso dolls are not lightweight toys. The added weight actually contributes to the realism, but it does mean Britney 2.0 isn’t something you casually toss in a drawer.

I know we’ve mentioned it but it’s worth repeating; torso dolls are heavier than you might expect and getting the box upstairs on my own was a bit of a challenge. Even though Britney 2.0 is the lightest torso doll Tantaly sell, the weight still came as a shock! 27lb might not seem a lot but when it’s a dead weight it’s not the easiest to carry about.

The doll itself costs £359.99 including shipping, which at first glance seems fairly reasonable for a torso doll of this size and quality. However, because Tantaly ships from Germany, the package is subject to UK import charges.

In my case, the customs fees came to just under £80 (Thanks Brexit!) which had to be paid before delivery. Royal Mail sent a notification requesting payment of the import charges, and once that was settled the parcel was released for delivery.

Delivery itself was straightforward. The parcel arrived via Royal Mail in a plain, unbranded cardboard box, with nothing on the outside to indicate what was inside.
