MythToy is a fairly new website that looks great; nice, body safe, soft materials, modern designs, decent feature lists. Everything comes nicely boxed with a posh faux suede pouch. Their site’s USP is that they sell premium toys at affordable prices. What’s not to love?

The Alibaba Elephant In The Room

OK, first off, a quick reality check: MythToy do not appear to manufacture their own products. Like a surprising number of modern sex toy brands, they appear to source existing designs and white label them under their own branding. If you don’t know what this means, read this blog post.

The short version: If you reverse image search several of these products, you can find visually identical versions listed on Alibaba for significantly lower prices, often under £10 wholesale.

Now, that doesn’t automatically make them bad products. Plenty of decent sex toys use OEM manufacturing, and consumers are often paying for branding, packaging, warranty support, local shipping, safety testing, customer service, and curated product selection rather than completely original engineering.

The more important question is whether the toys themselves are actually good enough to justify the markup.

After trying out the Swan, a cute mini-wand which I enjoyed but didn’t set my world alight, I tested out three more of their toys: the Muse (dual stimulation suction & vibrator), the Pen Max (internal vibrator/wand hybrid), and the Flash (lipstick bullet vibrator).

The short version? One of these is genuinely worth a look and has made it into my sex toy drawer. One does the job well enough and will be kept alongside a few similar products. One was, sadly, a bit of a let-down, and will be winging its way to one of my friends to see if they fare better.

Can you guess which one is which?

MythToy Muse Dual Stimulator Review

This is the one that should have been the star of the show; dual stimulation, decent size, good materials, waterproof to PIX7. On paper, the Muse Dual Stimulator is competing with things like the LELO Enigma Dual Sonic, or at least the budget friendly Womanizer Blend or Lovehoney Indulge, and at approximately £51, is cheaper than any of them.

The Mythtoy Muse v the LELO Enigma
The Mythtoy Muse and the LELO Enigma

In reality it didn’t quite work out like that, which is a real shame as it had so much potential.

First Impressions

The Myth toy Muse sex toy review

I love the colour; not enough sex toys are emerald green and I’m here for it. I like the look of the hole where you can hold it in place, and the fact it’s got rose gold accents is a nice touch. It looks elegant, and classy.

It’s noticeably bulky. The insertable arm is quite large – around 5.5 inches – which is sadly too long for it to sit comfortably with me. It is also a bit less flexible than competitors and that lack of flexibility becomes a real issue in use, especially if your anatomy doesn’t line up perfectly with where it thinks things should be.

G-Spot Performance

This is where it does well; the internal vibrations are properly rumbly, not that high-pitched surface buzz. It feels strong, deep, and genuinely effective. If this were just a G-spot toy, we’d be having a very different conversation.

Clitoral Suction

Is the MythToy Muse Dual Stimulator any good?

This is where it falls down. Now, slight caveat. I like strong suction, I’ve used a lot of clitoral suction toys, and my expectations are probably higher than average. That said, this still doesn’t quite deliver.

The main issue isn’t just intensity, it’s positioning. Because the head isn’t very flexible, and the mouth is quite small, it didn’t stay consistently in place. The length of the shaft meant it was pushed away from my body, losing that continuous, building stimulation that makes suction toys so effective. Once contact breaks, the experience drops off quickly.

It ended up feeling a bit like the Swan toy. Good idea, nice materials, pleasant enough – but it didn’t quite achieve what it set out to do.

Controls & Build

Controls are simple enough: One button powers it on and cycles suction modes while the other controls the G-spot vibrations – it’s the standard low/medium/high and then patterns.

However, the suction function flickered slightly during use, which isn’t exactly reassuring. It may be a one-off issue, but it does raise questions about reliability.

Mythtoy Muse Review - Buttons

Verdict

  • Strong, rumbly internal vibrations
  • Bulky and not very flexible
  • Suction is underwhelming and hard to get into place

It’s frustrating, because half of this toy is genuinely good. But dual stimulation only works if both parts do their job, and here, one clearly didn’t work for me. If you have a more sensitive clitoris and a deeper vagina, it may be worth a try! Otherwise, check out our round up of best dual stimulators for better options.

MythToy Pen Max Review

After the Muse, The Pen Max feels like MythToy going back to basics and actually getting it right: Simple idea. Well executed.

First Impressions

OK it’s a bit cheesy with the gold accents and the gem at the end, but I like the Pen Max from Mythtoy.

Despite the name, this isn’t a small toy. At around 20cm long and just over 3cm across, it’s closer to a slim wand than a typical ‘pen’. It’s also fairly heavy, which gives it a more premium feel in hand.

The Pen Max v a real pen

Importantly, it’s a really usable shape. Not awkward, not overly aggressive, just something that works without needing constant adjustment.

It’s splashproof, not waterproof, so keep it out of the bath unless you enjoy living dangerously.

Controls

This is such a small thing, but it makes a difference.

Mythtoy Pen Max Review

You don’t hold down buttons or cycle endlessly. You click through the vibration modes with a proper tactile click, and it’s weirdly satisfying. Slightly ASMR, very intuitive, and just better than most toys in this price range.

More brands should copy this.

Performance

The vibrations are deep and rumbly, holding their strength even under pressure. It works well internally – with a much easier 4 inches or so of insertable length which is more than enough to find my G-spot – and externally, which makes it more versatile than it first appears.

Best g-spot vibrator from myth toy

The shape and flexiblity also lends itself nicely to internal use without feeling overly designed or gimmicky. Pair with a clitoral stimulator and you have yourself one hell of a blended orgasm.

The Unexpected Bonus

The ABS plastic band around the middle carries vibration in a way that creates extra stimulation at the entrance. to the vagina; I’m not entirely convinced this was intentional, but it works, and it adds something rather than getting in the way.

Noise & Price

It’s fairly quiet, but not whisper silent. Fine for most situations, not ideal if you’re aiming for complete discretion.

At the time of writing, it’s dropped from $99 to $59 (around £45), which makes it genuinely competitive.

a nice flexible g-spot vibrator from mythtoy; the Pen Max

Verdict

  • Strong, rumbly vibrations
  • Great size and shape for internal use
  • Satisfying click-through controls
  • Useful “bonus” stimulation from the central band
  • Splashproof only

This is easily the best of the three and I will keep it close to my bed at all times.

MythToy Flash Review (Lipstick Bullet)

The Flash is MythToy’s attempt at the classic looks like ‘lipstick’ discreet bullet and to be fair it does the job.

Mythtoy Rouge II Review (Lipstick Bullet)

Size Comparison

The Flash bullet is around 4 inches long and and inch wide at its widest part. Compared to other bullets:

  • It’s larger than the Bed Nerdz bullet (pictured above, centre) and does not have remote control capability
  • Similar in shape to the Smile Makers lipstick vibe (left) but much smaller
  • Still small enough to be genuinely portable
The Myth Toy Rouge bullet is larger than the Bed Nerdz bullet (pictured above, centre) and does not have remote control capability

Similar in shape to the Smile Makers lipstick vibe (left) but much smaller

So yes, it looks discreet. Whether it actually is depends on how closely someone inspects your handbag.

Performance

Comparably, it does the job well; it’s not weak, it’s not amazingly powerful – it’s very similar to other bullet vibes. It’s perfectly usable for external stimulation, but if you’re used to stronger toys or proper magic wands, it’s going to feel a bit underwhelming.

That said, that’s fairly standard for the bullet category; they do what they do. They’re never going to be my favourite sex toys but if you want a well priced bullet, you don’t need it to be super quiet or remote control, this is a decent one, for a very good price (around £21).

This is a decent lipstick bullet vibrator with multiple settings and magnetic charging

Practical Use

Bullet vibrators are good for portability; popping in your luggage or your purse to bring something extra to the table in a pinch.

If you want deep, rumbly intensity or you’re used to higher-end toys they probably won’t light up your world but they’re a nice thing to have.

Verdict

This is a genuinely discreet, lipstick-style design which is decent for quick, external use. The power is around the same as you get from much more expensive, premium bullets. It’s fine. It’s certainly not bad, not amazing, just a solid, middle-of-the-road bullet at a decent price.

Final Ranking Of This MythToy Haul

If you’re choosing between these:

  1. Pen Max – Best overall, actually delivers
  2. Flash – Fine if you want something small and discreet
  3. Muse – Honestly, I would skip this one unless they fix the suction and flexibility issues.

This is a bit of a mixed bag.

Final Ranking Of This Myth Toy Haul

As it stands, there’s one clear winner here, one ‘it’ll do’ and one that feels like a missed opportunity.

Mythtoy clearly knows how to make a good vibrator. The Pen Max (which I would not hesitate to say is a good buy), The Flash and the internal shaft of the Muse Toy prove that. It’s just a shame that I could not get the Muse to fit my anatomy, and the suction was a bit weedy compared to what I am used to.

A Note About White Label Sex Toys

Before writing my recent post about why so many sex toys look identical, I think I automatically assumed “Alibaba toy” meant cheap rubbish. But after testing these, I’m not sure it’s that simple, because the Pen Max is genuinely pretty good.

So maybe the real question isn’t whether a toy started life in an Alibaba catalogue. Maybe it’s whether the final product, support, branding, and overall experience justify what you’re paying for once it lands on a glossy website with a fancy pouch and some rose gold accents slapped on it.
