How To Choose The Best G-Spot Vibrator For You

G-spot vibrators are internal vibrators designed to put pressure against the front wall of the vagina. Most are curved or angled, but despite how similar they can look, they can feel completely different in use. So how do you work out which g-spot vibrator to buy?

I haven’t tested dozens of dedicated G-spot vibrators, but I have tested a ridiculous number of insertable vibrators, rabbits and dual stimulators and double-ended magic wands over the years. The biggest thing I’ve learned is that simply buying something with a bend in it does not guarantee it will hit the right spot.

The curve matters, but so do firmness, size, vibration strength and, most importantly, your own anatomy. A very hooked toy can feel brilliant for one person and awkward for another, while something that looks fairly ordinary can turn out to be exactly the right shape.

So rather than pretending there is one universally ‘best’ G-spot vibrator, this is more about working out what sort is likely to suit you.

Some G-Spot Vibrators Worth A Look

LELO MONA 2 – A Classic Curved G-Spot Vibe: Traditional curved shape, firm enough for pressure and strong vibrations. A good premium option if you want a straightforward G-spot vibrator without the extra features of the MONA Spectra.

Lovehoney Mon Ami – Budget-Friendly Choice: Simple, approachable and considerably cheaper if someone wants to experiment.

Svakom CiCi 2 – If you prefer something slimmer: For someone who wants less girth and easier manoeuvring.

Lovense Lush 4 – App-Controlled / Wearable Option: A fully insertable, app-controlled option that works particularly well for hands-free, partner-controlled and long-distance play.

These aren’t four versions of the same toy. The MONA 2 is the classic curved vibrator, the Mon Ami is the cheap way to see whether you even like this sort of stimulation, the CiCi 2 is slimmer and easier to manoeuvre, and the Lush 4 is more about app control and hands-free use.

Does The Curve Matter?

Yes, but probably not as much as the packaging would have you believe. A curve helps because it points the head towards the front vaginal wall, but a massive hook isn’t automatically better. In fact, if it’s too aggressively curved it can just feel awkward, whereas a gentler bend gives you more room to move it around and find the angle that actually works for you.

The position you use it in matters too. A toy that feels slightly underwhelming when you are lying flat can suddenly work much better with your hips raised or your body in a different position.

Firm Or Flexible?

A very soft, bendy G-spot toy can be wonderfully comfortable, particularly if you are new to internal toys, but flexibility has a downside. When you push the head against the vaginal wall, the shaft can simply bend away rather than applying much pressure. I ran into this problem with the MythToy Swan (below), which was specifically sold as a G-spot vibrator.

The shape looked right, but the neck was simply too flexible. Instead of letting me apply firm pressure where I wanted it, it bent away, which rather defeated the point of the curve.

A firmer vibrator gives you far more control over exactly where that pressure goes.

That doesn’t mean the whole thing needs to feel like a plastic stick. Silicone can still feel soft and pleasant against the body while having enough structure underneath to maintain its shape.

Personally, if targeted internal pressure is the main reason I am buying a toy, I would choose something reasonably firm over something extremely floppy or bendy. Something budget-friendly like the Lovehoney Mon Ami (available here in the UK and here in the US) is a good place to start.

Does Size Matter?

Kind of… but bigger doesn’t automatically mean better!

Some people enjoy a feeling of fullness alongside G-spot stimulation, in which case a thicker shaft might be exactly what they want. Others find that extra girth simply gets in the way and would much rather have something slim enough to manoeuvre easily.

If you are new to G-spot toys, I would generally lean towards a slimmer design. Something like the Svakom CiCi 2 (available here in the UK, and here in the US – don’t forget to use the code SEXTOYREVIEW20 to get a 20% discount!) is good for this. I have the rabbit version (the Svakom CiCi+2) and it’s great.

It gives you more room to experiment with the angle and makes it easier to work out what actually feels good without also having to deal with a lot of stretching or pressure.

How Important Are The Vibrations?

Some people love very strong internal vibration. Others find it annoying, or even painful. Some people find that pressure and movement matter much more than vibration once a toy is inserted, in which case you might be better off with something thrusting rather than merely vibrating, like the LELO INA Thrust, available from LELO here.

My personal preference is for a strong, targeted vibration, but strength isn’t the only thing that matters. You will also see reviewers, including me, talk a lot about whether vibrations feel ‘rumbly’ or ‘buzzy’.

Buzzy vibrations tend to feel more surface-level, sharp or tingly, particularly at higher settings. Rumbly vibrations feel deeper and seem to travel through more of the toy and the surrounding tissue.

Neither is automatically better, but I generally prefer deeper vibrations for internal use. In my experience, better-quality motors tend to produce that deeper, rumblier sensation and are often quieter too.

Unfortunately, you cannot really judge this from a product description. A manufacturer can call something ‘ultra powerful’ all it likes, but that tells you very little about how the motor actually feels in use. This is one of those areas where independent reviews are far more useful than the number of intensity settings printed on the box.

G-Spot Vibrator Vs Rabbit Vibrator

The obvious advantage of a rabbit vibrator is that it provides simultaneous internal and external stimulation, however the disadvantage is that the toy now has to fit two different parts of your anatomy at exactly the same time.

Rabbits can be surprisingly hit-and-miss. Some, like the We-Vibe Nova 2 below, are flexible and hit both G-Spot and clitoris for a lot of people. However, if the internal shaft sits where you want it but the clitoral arm lands somewhere useless, you have a problem. Move the toy to improve the external stimulation and you may lose the internal pressure.

A simple G-spot vibrator gives you far more freedom to move it around independently. You can then use your hand or a second toy externally if you want both types of stimulation.

I like rabbits when the fit happens to work for my body, but I don’t think they are automatically the better choice.

What About Wearable / Fully Insertable G-Spot Vibrators?

Some G-spot vibrators are designed to sit almost entirely inside the body rather than being held like a conventional vibrator. Love eggs such as the Lovense Lush 4 and Magic Motion Vini use a curved internal shape to press against the front vaginal wall while the external section usually acts as a handle or control point.

The big advantage is that they can be worn hands-free and, in the case of app-controlled toys, controlled remotely; and even worn in public. The downside is that once they are in position you have much less ability to keep adjusting the angle and pressure manually. If the shape happens to suit your anatomy, that can work brilliantly. If it doesn’t, there is less you can do to compensate.

G-Spot Vibrator Vs Magic Wand

Most traditional wand vibrators are designed primarily for external use, but the distinction has become increasingly blurred. The LELO Switch is a good example because it can’t really decide what category it belongs in. It is primarily a wand, but one end is shaped for insertion and G-spot stimulation, so you get a much more powerful motor than you would find in many conventional slim vibrators. The downside is that it is obviously bulkier than a dedicated G-spot toy, but if strong vibration matters to you, that versatility is a big advantage.

My Favourite G-Spot Vibe: The LELO MONA Series

LELO MONA Spectra g spot vibe - how to choose

The MONA Spectra is a useful example of what I personally look for in a G-spot vibrator because underneath all the much more unusual LED light therapy features, it is actually a very straightforward curved vibrator.

It has a fairly slim shaft, a pronounced angled head and strong vibrations, and that combination works well for targeted internal stimulation without requiring a particularly large toy.

It works really well for me, and I also like that the head can be used externally, which makes it much more versatile than something that only really makes sense when inserted.

The complicated bit is the price as you are paying for considerably more than a curved vibrator here, including the light therapy features, and whether those are worth paying extra for is going to depend very heavily on how interested you are in them.

If you simply like the shape and want a conventional vibrator, the older MONA 2 and the MONA Twist follow a very similar basic design, get very good reviews and are both worth looking at. Use the code TAMMY15 for 15% off full price LELO products.

How To Use A G-Spot Vibrator

Start with your favourite water-based lube. Even if the toy is wonderfully smooth and you don’t normally struggle with insertion, lubricant generally makes it much easier to experiment with angles without introducing unnecessary friction and the whole experience just more comfortable.

the one g-sopt vibe

Insert the toy slowly and angle the head towards the front wall of the vagina, in the general direction of your belly button; you do not necessarily need to thrust it rapidly in and out. In fact, you may get much more from holding the head against one area and using a rocking or pressing movement instead.

Try changing your body position as well as the angle of the toy. Raising your hips slightly can completely change where the head sits.

If you enjoy external stimulation, combine it with your fingers, a small vibrator, a wand or a clitoral suction toy.

There is no award for achieving an orgasm using the G-spot vibrator entirely on its own – most women struggle without clitoral stimulation, but find that G-spot stimulation at the same time can lead to a big, blended orgasm.

What If I Can’t Feel Much?

If it isn’t doing much for you, try changing the angle, pressure or your body position, or add some external stimulation. You may also simply find that G-spot stimulation isn’t particularly exciting for you. Bodies are irritatingly individual like that, despite what sex toy marketing would have you believe.

Which G-Spot Vibrator Should You Choose?

If I were choosing one from scratch, I’d look for a manageable size, enough firmness to apply pressure and a curve that isn’t ridiculously aggressive. The LELO Mona series shape works particularly well for me, but the cheaper Mon Ami (available here in the UK and here in the US) is a sensible way to experiment, while something like the Lush 4 makes more sense if app control and hands-free play are the priority. Ignore the promises of fifty vibration modes and revolutionary curves; what matters is whether the shape actually works for your body.

FAQs on G-Spot Vibrators

Are Curved Vibrators Better?

For targeted G-spot stimulation, a curve generally makes things easier because the head naturally points towards the front vaginal wall, but a slightly curved vibrator (like the LELO Mona series) that you can manoeuvre comfortably may suit you better than something with a dramatic hook.

What Shape Is Best For G-Spot Stimulation?

I would generally look for a toy with a rounded or slightly bulbous head, a noticeable curve and enough firmness to maintain pressure when you push against the vaginal wall. If you are unsure what you like, avoid starting with anything exceptionally large, rigid or aggressively curved; you can always go bigger later.

Can You Use A Normal Vibrator On The G-Spot?

Absolutely, as long as it is made of body safe materials and is designed for internal use and you can comfortably angle it towards the front vaginal wall, there is nothing stopping you. A dedicated G-spot shape simply makes that angle easier to achieve.

Can You Use A G-Spot Vibrator Externally?

Usually, yes. Most silicone vibrators can also be used externally on the clitoris, vulva, nipples or anywhere else you enjoy vibration. Some curved heads are actually very good for external stimulation because they give you a smaller, more targeted contact point.

Is A Rabbit Better Than A G-Spot Vibrator?

Choose a rabbit if simultaneous internal and external stimulation appeals to you and you tend to get on well with rabbit shapes. Choose a simpler G-spot vibrator if you want more control over the angle or would rather decide separately how you stimulate your clitoris.
