We loved the concept of the the We-Vibe Unite but although the fantasy was hot, the reality was a little bit of a flop. The biggest gripe was that the Unite vibrator wouldn’t stay put, and although pleasant the vibrations weren’t really strong enough to have an overwhelming effect.

So, for Christmas, I treated us to the newest version of the remote controlled wearable vibrator; the We-Vibe Chorus to play with.

We-Vibe Chorus Review

The We-Vibe Chorus is the most expensive of We-Vibe’s remote controlled, wearable clitoral and g-spot vibrators at £190 full price for the latest model, but is it worth it?

Well, being the consummate professional sex toy reviewers we are, we took it out with us to see how it performed.

What’s in the Box?

The We-Vibe Chorus has the Chorus unit and the remote control which are both made from soft silicone. It all comes in a little charging box so it can be charged discreetly which is a nice touch, and you also get a little sachet of lube in there as well as instructions and a micro USB charging cable – this has since been upgraded to a USB-C cable on the newer models.

I left it to charge wirelessly overnight, which was probably slight overkill but I wanted it to be fully functional when we went out to test it. It should actually take around two hours to charge fully.

Obviously we paired the remote first to check it worked and everything was in order before we went out, and this was really quick and worked straight away. NB we did not try the We-Vibe app at this point.

Using the We-Vibe Chorus in Public

I took the Chorus unit with me, and Jack had the remote. After dinner, we went to a bar and sat on bar stools facing each other. We ordered cocktails and I slipped into the toilets and got ready.

The fit is adjustable with two joints because as you know, all bodies are different! The joints can be bent gently and will stay in place and bend back again – and once you’ve found your fit it doesn’t tend to slip out easily, even when you’re wet, with the inside g-spot stimulator being large enough to stay in place.

The remote turns on the Chorus using the + button, so you can wait for your partner to be mid-sentence, put your hand in your pocket and stop them in their tracks.

The remote is made of silicone and squishy and tactile; it has both a manual remote and a squeeze function. You can cycle through the patterns with the < and > button and use the + and – to change the intensity.

Does The We-Vibe Chorus Work?

Well, yes. The vibrations are amazing; way way better than the Unite or in fact most weedy vibrators. And they’re concentrated right where you want them.

The G-spot vibrator doesn’t personally do so much for me, but it’ very rumbly in a similar way to the Nova 2. If you like G-spot vibrations, this will be right up your street.

And, one of the most important aspects of this We-Vibe Chorus review in my opinion: It’s not too noisy. I didn’t feel like anyone could hear it over the general noise of the bar which is a relief as you really don’t want to be drawing attention like that; you need to be really careful when you’re engaging in public sex play.

All in all, it was a very enjoyable evening.

Wearing the We-Vibe Chorus During Sex

The We-Vibe Chorus can apparently be worn during penetrative sex to stimulate the clitoris and g-spot, and help you orgasm faster and harder.

However, I must say I personally didn’t do much for me. Maybe if you’re working with a smaller – particularly a thinner – penis it might add more, but it wasn’t for us as there’s plenty of girth there already. It was quite tricky to get it all inside me, even lubed up. It wasn’t painful or anything but it wasn’t particularly comfortable or add much pleasure.

For couple’s toys during sex, I much prefer the magic wand which is easy to hold of, or if it’s tricky – for example in missionary position – the vibrating cock ring which is less intrusive but still packs in the vibrations.

The We-Vibe App for Controlling the Chorus Couple’s Vibrator

The We-Vibe App which controls the Chorus vibrator seemed like a great idea for a few reasons.

First of all it can be activated remotely – so you can use it when one partner is on a trip away for instance. For going out and about together, it gives the partner with the app a much better sense of control as they can see the intensity of the vibrations and pattern, rather than jab at the remote and hope for the best.

We had great expectations but to be honest with you, the app was a bit of a let down.

It connected fine the first time and we were really hopeful as it seemed easy to use. You have a little icon which you drag and drop to change the pattern and the intensity and all seemed well enough. But then it started messing around, the little Chorus icon disappeared so you couldn’t see what you were controlling. Having read a few We-Vibe Chorus App reviews this is not uncommon.

It’s certainly usable, but it’s got a lot of flaws. Bit like me.

If you’re thinking of buying the Chorus specifically for use with the We-Vibe App, then I would wait until they fix the bugs that make it tricky to use. You can read a round up of app-controlled sex toys for long distance relationships here.

Other Features of the We-Vibe Chorus Couple’s Toy

The Chorus is made from body safe silicone (as is the remote) and the vibrating unit is waterproof for easy cleaning. It’s nice silicone so dust and fluff won’t stick to it in the same way as they do some other toys.

In Summary

As a quick We-Vibe Chorus review: The Chorus is MUCH better than the We-Vibe Unite for staying in and the vibrations. The We-Vibe App is a bit hit and miss at the time of writing this review.

The Chorus couple’s vibrator didn’t make me orgasm, but I was in public and am good at controlling physical sensations. It certainly could, if I had let it. It was definitely a turn on.

Bit on the pricey side, but hopefully we’ll get a lot more use out of it!
