Prostate toys are not something most men grow up thinking about. The p-spot isn’t usually openly discussed with your mates down the pub, and despite their popularity, sex toys which go up your bottom are still a bit taboo. However behind closed doors, prostate massagers are big business – both for solo play and partnered sex.
I am not one to shy away from a new experience so I took the Rocks Off Adapt Vibrating Prostate and Perineum Massager home to review.
What Is the Rocks Off Adapt Vibrating Prostate and Perineum Massager?

The Rocks Off Adapt men’s sex toy is a dual-motor vibrating prostate and perineum massager designed for both internal and external stimulation.
It’s made from soft-touch, body-safe silicone, is fully IPX7 waterproof (so bath and shower safe).
Its most unique feature is flexible shaft with a flipping handle which can go to the left or right, or fully reversed, changing the angle of stimulation and turning it from a prostate massager into a wand-shaped vibrator or thrusting toy.
In simple terms: it’s designed to hit the prostate (or ‘p-spot’) internally and deliver vibrations directly to it, while also stimulating the perineum externally. The moving handle section gives you some control over how intense and targeted that feels.
When combined with masturbation or sex, the result is supposed to be very strong orgasms.
NB Some men can apparently climax from prostate stimulation alone, but I am not among them.
First Impressions of the Rocks Off Adapt
The first thing I noticed was that it doesn’t look ridiculous. That may sound like a low bar, but in the male sex toy category it matters. It’s black, and everyone knows black is a manly colour (it’s very important that things are manly when you’re sticking them up your bum, I find). It isn’t overtly explicit like some stroker toys can be.
The silicone feels smooth and soft rather than clinical. The shaft has some limited flexibility, which makes it slightly less intimidating than rigid alternatives, but it is firm enough to insert without trouble.
The handle is thicker and doubles as the external stimulator. It also flips left, right, or fully around, which slightly changes the angle and pressure.
You can see the various positions below: Prostate & perenium massager, left handed thrusting toy (you can also have the handle on the right), wand.

Rechargeable is a given at this point for most sex toys – no one wants to be mid-experiment and realise they have no batteries, and it means that the toy is much more likely to be waterproof. The Adapt prostate massager is supplied with a magnetic charging USB cable.
The Dual-Motor Design – Does It Make a Difference?
Yes.
There are two motors: one positioned internally to stimulate the prostate, and one externally to stimulate the perineum (that’s the bit between your balls and your bum).
I’ve tried simple manual prostate massagers and the addition of vibrations really do make a difference.
The combination of both internal and external vibrations creates a layered sensation rather than a single point of vibration. It feels fuller and more immersive than a basic butt plug with a buzz.
There are 10 speed and pattern modes. Realistically, you’ll find a couple you like and ignore the rest – that’s pretty universal with vibrators – but the range is there if you want variety.
The vibration itself is deep and rumbly rather than sharp and buzzy. It feels deliberate, not frantic.
Is the Adapt Beginner Friendly?
With preparation, kind of.
It’s not tiny, so I wouldn’t recommend it as someone’s absolute first experience ever. If you’ve never tried any kind of anal play, start smaller – this one has a thick shaft and you don’t want to give up because it’s too big.
But if you’re past the ‘what is happening here?’ stage and want something specifically designed for prostate stimulation, this feels like a step up.
The flexibility helps with comfort. It doesn’t feel like you’re inserting something rigid and unforgiving.
Lubrication is not optional, it is absolutely essential – and use lots of it. Water based lube only, as silicone will react to your new toy and ruin it.
Take your time. And for god’s sake, relax. If your parents, partner, housemate or children happen to be coming back within the next 20 minutes then maybe wait until you have a bit more time and privacy.
If you feel pain at any point then stop. Anal play should not hurt. Refer to our beginner’s guide to anal play for more tips and information.
The Flipping Handle – Gimmick or Useful?
Surprisingly useful.
Flipping the handle slightly changes the angle and pressure. One position feels more targeted and direct, the other slightly softer and differently positioned.
It’s subtle, but noticeable.
It also makes the toy adaptable for different body types and preferences, which is likely where the name comes from.
Solo vs Partner Use
The Adapt prostate massager works well for solo use. Once positioned correctly, it can stay in place hands-free, although it did slip out unnoticed at one point; a similar experience to the Mantric Rechargeable Remote Controlled Prostate Massager.
Although we haven’t used it as a couple, I imagine it’s simple enough to incorporate without turning the bedroom into a technical workshop.
There’s no app, no complicated setup, no remote control to pair with it and try to control with lubey fingers; always a nice idea, but less useful in practice.
There is also a female version of the Adapt which delivers g-spot and clitoral vibrations; we have this but haven’t tried it properly yet.

Because it’s waterproof (IPX7 rated), it can also be used in the shower, which might feel less intimidating for some, although water will wash any water-based lube away so if you are headed to the bathroom, use it for external stimulation only.
Noise & Power
If you’re looking for whisper-quiet sex toys, this probably isn’t one for you.
The Rocks Off Adapt Prostate Massager is not silent, but it’s not overly aggressive like a plane taking off either.
The dual motors mean it feels powerful without needing to crank everything to maximum. It’s strong, but controlled.
This is designed for intense stimulation, so if you’re sensitive, start low and build up.
Build Quality & Practicality
- Soft-touch, body-safe silicone
- Dual motors
- 10 vibration modes
- IPX7 waterproof
- Flexible shaft
It feels well made and sturdy. Nothing flimsy that’s going to break off and leave you with a very embarrassing trip to A&E (if you want to see what I mean, check out this post on the dangers of cheap sex toys).
Cleaning is straightforward thanks to the waterproof design. Soap and water, no faffing.

The Rocks Off Adapt Prostate Massager: My Final Thoughts
The Rocks Off Adapt is pretty decent as prostate massagers go, it’s flexible, powerful, and genuinely versatile thanks to the dual-motor design and adjustable handle angle.
Perhaps one criticism is that unlike some other prostate massagers including the Mantric Prostate Massager and the Bed Nerdz BODHI Prostate Massager the Rocks Off Adapt does not come with a remote control – obviously where it sits means it can be tricky to control while in situ, an issue which the remote fixes.
However, as previously noted trying to control a small remote with lube on your fingers is… a challenge. The lack of remote does mean that it is easier to use, and has fewer controls to learn so it’s a toss up as to whether this is truly a negative or not.
It’s not extreme for the sake of it, it’s targeted and deliberate, and if you’re curious about anal toys and prostate play but want something well-built, adaptable and designed for proper stimulation, this is a strong mid-range option.
Just take your time, relax and don’t skip the lube! You should be rewarded with a lovely prostate orgasm.
