Lovense Ferri Wearable App-Controlled Panty Vibrator Review

Just like the Lovense Lush 4 is the love egg everyone recommends over and over again, the Lovense Ferri is probably the best-known app-controlled panty vibrator on the market, especially for long-distance couples, remote play and people who like the idea of wearable public-play toys.

This is also how I discovered that the official industry term for all this is apparently teledildonics.

Lovense Ferri Wearable App-Controlled Panty Vibrator Review

Lovense describes its ecosystem as ‘teledildonic technology’, which sounds less like modern sex tech and more like a Victorian scientist accidentally inventing Bluetooth orgasms during a thunderstorm, but the basic idea is simple enough: app-controlled toys that can be operated remotely, synced together and used for long-distance intimacy.

Hilarious marketing jargon aside though, the Lovense app is very good. Having already used the Lush 4, I already knew my way around it this time, and honestly, the more sex toy apps I try, the better the Lovense app seems. It connects instantly, the long-distance features actually work properly and unlike some competitors, it feels like it was designed by people who have used app-controlled sex toys themselves.

There’s a lot going on on the app, but the connectivity is excellent and it has pretty much every function you could realistically want.

Often available for around £100, the question is whether the Ferri is actually worth the not-insignificant price.

First Impressions Of The Lovense Ferri Bluetooth Panty Vibrator

The Ferri is probably smaller than I expected, and there’s no external remote so the box it comes in is very discreet.

The Lovense Ferri next to the Knickerbocker Glory

Compared to other panty vibes like the Rocks Off Knickerbocker Glory (pictured above, right), it is noticeably more compact, and not shaped quite how I imagined either either.

In fact, it is kind of shaped like a slug. A fairly expensive Bluetooth slug.

Lovense Ferri in hand

Being honest, the Ferri doesn’t quite look or feel as luxe as the Lush 4.

The Lush has that smooth silicone-and-chrome luxury finish, whereas the Ferri has a black plastic section on the front that makes it feel slightly more gadgety and perhaps a little less luxurious in the hand, although the silicone is still premium and it is waterproof.

Wearing The Ferri Clitoral Vibrator

You need underwear to use the Ferri panty vibe. Pop the Ferri inside you underwear, so that it’s in contact with the clitoris and surrounding area, and once it’s in the right spot, use the magnet to hold it in place.

Lovense even includes a spare magnet, which is surprisingly thoughtful because I imagine they could be easy to lose and then you’re left with something that’s impossible to use.

The magnets are strong and hold it securely in place once positioned properly.

Once I’d got it sitting correctly against my clitoral area it felt comfortable, but it did shift slightly while walking around. Tight underwear and tighter trousers definitely help here. Floaty knickers are probably not enough.

Importantly though, it does stay in place well enough to actually use properly, which is one of the biggest problems with wearable toys.

The Lovense Ferri in my hand (review of this panty vibe for wearable public sex play)

Unlike insertable wearables like the Lush 4, the Ferri is entirely external. If you are expecting internal stimulation from this, you will be disappointed and frankly should have looked at the product photos a bit more carefully.

Is The Lovense Ferri Actually Quiet Enough To Use In Public?

At higher intensity levels, the Ferri is not whisper-quiet to the point that no one will notice it, and it’s not internal, like the Lush 4, which obviously muffles the sound.

Lush 4 v Ferri (Lovense review)

Now, to be fair, it is not the shrill, high-pitched buzzing nightmare some wearable toys produce. Compared to the cheaper Knickerbocker Glory, although it makes a similar volume of noise, the vibrations are lower, deeper and more rumbly, which makes the sound slightly less noticeable overall.

But this is not a whisper-quiet, romantic dinner toy unless your romantic dinner happens to be next to industrial kitchen extraction fans.

Could you wear it in a loud pub, club or busy bar? Probably, yes. Seated away from people in a place where there’s a good degree of background noise, you should remain undetected.

Could you wear it somewhere silent and get away with it? Please don’t, and remind yourself of the rules of Public Sex Play; i.e. if others haven’t consented to it then they should not be subjected to it. Stay discreet, and if there is any realistic chance somebody nearby can hear your underwear vibrating, leave the Ferri at home.

The Lovense App Experience

Lovense Lush 4 and Ferri Panty Vibrator being controlled by the Lovense App

Lovense pulls ahead of most competitors when it comes to its app. The Ferri, much like the Lush 4, connected instantly every single time I used it. No dropouts, no weird reconnecting issues, no sitting there half naked trying to persuade Bluetooth to acknowledge your existence.

The app itself is packed with features. Honestly, too packed in some areas; there are games, roulette-style controls, alarm functions, custom patterns and various gimmicky extras I suspect most people will ignore after trying them once.

But the important stuff works brilliantly:

  • instant connection
  • easy intensity adjustment
  • remote partner control
  • syncing and controlling multiple toys at the same time
  • integrated video chat

That last one is still something other brands do not seem to have figured out properly yet. For long-distance couples especially, having the control system and video call built into the same ecosystem just makes everything feel smoother and less administratively annoying.

Vibrations & Orgasm Potential Of This Wearbale Clitoral Vibe

For such a small toy, the Ferri is surprisingly powerful and I enjoyed the sensations immensely; more so than other panty vibes and remote controlled wearable vibrators like the We-Vibe Chorus or LELO Tiani Twist which I would categorise as ‘pleasantly teasing’ rather than ‘fully orgasmic’.

The vibrations are strong, deep and properly rumbly rather than cheap surface-level buzzing, and there is a good range of intensities from gentle teasing through to genuinely orgasmic power. The shape also helps focus stimulation directly onto the clitoris.

You can create your own vibration patterns within the app, although personally I preferred sticking to the standard controls. Whack it up; job done.

Hands-free orgasms are absolutely possible with the Ferri, especially if you are already in the mood and have the positioning right.

I also tried pairing it with the Lovense Lush 4, which created an experience that was overwhelming and impressively immersive. Either way, it definitely worked and I would struggle to hold it together in public! You can buy the Lush 4 and the Ferri together as a bundle and save money.

The Lovense Ferri Compared To Cheaper Panty Vibrators

Compared to cheaper wearable toys like the Knickerbocker Glory, the Ferri feels considerably more refined and the vibrations feel stronger and/or more targetted; either way it’s more likely to result in an orgasm. As mentioned, it is not necessarily quieter, but the vibrations are deeper and rumblier so it is less audible in use.

The app control also makes a huge difference.

With cheaper wearables you are usually relying on a local remote control that has to be charged separately and only works nearby. With the Ferri, the app control works from anywhere, which makes it much more appealing for long-distance relationships and control-play dynamics.

Who Is The Lovense Ferri Actually For?

The Lovense Ferri panty vibe makes the most sense for:

  • long-distance couples
  • people already using the Lovense app – you can sync your toys if you both own one
  • couples interested in remote control or public play
  • people who enjoy app-connected toys
  • users looking for strong external stimulation
  • people who want wearable toys capable of real orgasms

Especially combined with other Lovense toys, you can see why the brand has become so popular for long-distance and synced play.

Who Won’t Like It?

Probably:

  • people who hate using apps
  • anyone wanting internal stimulation
  • people looking for a cheap novelty wearable
  • anyone expecting complete silence
  • people who specifically want a physical remote control

At around £99 even on sale, this is not a casual impulse purchase just for a ‘little buzz’ during date night.

Is The Ferri A Must Buy Panty Vibrator For Couples?

Is The Ferri A Must Buy Panty Vibrator For Couples?

I actually liked the Ferri more than I expected to, as I do not always ‘get’ every gimmicky toy, and I am rarely wildly over-effusive unless something genuinely changes my life (hello again, LELO Enigma). However, this is a genuinely good wearable vibrator with excellent app support and surprisingly powerful stimulation.

It is not silent and it is absolutely not cheap, but if you already use Lovense toys, enjoy app-connected play, or want something for long-distance teasing and control dynamics, the Ferri makes a lot of sense and earns its reputation. It’s one of the few wearable toys I’ve tried that actually feels capable of delivering what it promises.

Even if the word ‘teledildonics’ still makes me want to lie down in a dark room for a bit.
