Wand vibrators are without a doubt the best toys for couple’s play. You can use them during even vigorous sex to reach orgasm reliably. I’ve tested a lot of wand vibrators over the years, from budget rechargeable models to old-school mains-powered beasts and hand on heart, the Lovense Domi 2 is the first cordless wand in a long time that genuinely made me stop and say, ‘Bloody hell’.
It’s not perfect. It’s louder than I’d like, it isn’t entirely waterproof, the head gets warm during extended use and if pressed to make a choice, I’d probably say I still prefer clitoral suction toys overall when indulging in solo play. However, if you’re looking for sheer power in a cordless wand massager, this is the closest thing I’ve found to the old mains-powered monsters without having to trail a cable across the bedroom.
If efficiency is what you’re after, the Lovense Domi 2 wand is alarmingly effective.

First Impressions
Much like the Lovense Ferri panty vibrator and the Lovense Lush 4 reviewed previously, there is nothing cheap or flimsy about the box or its contents. Lovense have a reputation for premium sex toys, and they deliver.
The Domi 2 is described on some sites as a mini wand, however compared to other rechargeable wands, it’s very similar in size, fitting comfortably in your hand.
My first evening with the Domi 2 rapidly descended into what can only be described as a wand vibrator audit.
I started by trying the Domi on its own, which didn’t take long at all, we’re talking a few minutes. Then I grabbed my LELO Switch and the MYLO wand. Then dug out the Rocks-Off Oriel Wand. Then poked about under the bed for my Lovehoney Classic mains-powered wand, which compared to the others looks like a relic of a forgotten time.

Before I knew it, I had five wand vibrators buzzing away simultaneously while I attempted to conduct highly scientific comparisons from the comfort of my bed.
The result? In terms of rechargeable magic wands, the Lovense Domi 2 may be the noisiest, but it sits in a different category altogether when it comes to raw power. It’s compact, flexible, it’s water resistant to IPX6, can give you up to 6 hours of power off one charge and – if your experience matches my own – it can make you orgasm in a few minutes.

Power and Performance
This thing is powerful.

The LELO Switch and Rocks-Off Oriel are both excellent toys which have their place during sex and when noise is an issue, but they feel broadly comparable in terms of vibration strength with the Switch being the more refined and adaptable toy. The Domi 2 feels like it belongs in the next weight class up.
The motor produces deep, low-frequency vibrations that travel further into the body than the buzzier motors found in many rechargeable wands.
After spending years testing sex toys, it’s rare that I encounter something that immediately feels different but the Lovense Domi 2 magic wand managed it.
What’s particularly impressive is how quickly it gets the job done. While I still personally prefer clitoral suction toys overall, I found the Domi significantly faster than many of my favourite suction toys.

Noise Levels
Lovense describes the Domi 2 as quiet, but I wouldn’t go that far.
Although my attempts at measuring decibels produced results that were closer than expected, the Domi was noticeably louder than the LELO Switch , MYLO and Oriel during use.

Part of this is the pitch; the Domi produces a deep, low-frequency rumble rather than the higher-pitched buzz of some competing toys. While this may not always register dramatically differently on a decibel meter, it feels far more noticeable in practice.
Would I take it on holiday? Probably not.
Would I choose it for use in a house full of family members or sleeping children? That’s a definitel no.
It’s not ‘mains-powered toy’ deafening, but it’s certainly not the most discreet toy in my collection.
The Controls
This might be one of my favourite features. Rather than forcing you to cycle endlessly through vibration patterns, the Domi 2 has just two buttons for turning it on and then increasing and decreasing intensity.

This sounds like a small thing until you’ve spent years using toys that make you click through seventeen pointless patterns every time you accidentally press something or overshoot your preferred setting.
With the Domi, if you go one level too high, you simply press the down button. Simple, effective and in my opinion, exactly how it should work.
The Lovense App
I’ve tested enough terrible sex toy apps that I now appreciate a good one when I find it: The Lovense app remains one of the best I’ve used. I was hesitant at first because there’s a lot going on, but the more I use it, the more I enjoy it. For more details, you can see a round up of app-controlled sex toys here and learn why Lovense comes out on top.

In summary, you can:
- Fine-tune vibration intensity
- Create custom vibration patterns
- Set a maximum power limit
- Control the toy remotely
- Customise the LED lighting
The maximum power limit is particularly clever; given how powerful the Domi 2 is, being able to cap the maximum intensity means you can enjoy the toy without accidentally venturing into territory that’s simply too intense.
It’s one of the few toys where the app genuinely improves the experience.
You can also sync the toy with music, your partner’s toy, and even games if you want to.
Is there any sensible reason why your vibrator should react to Candy Crush? Well, no. But I did it anyway.
BDSM and Partner Play
The intensity, portability and app-controlled nature of the Domi 2 feels particularly well suited to BDSM.
The app makes it easy for a partner to control intensity without physically holding the toy, while the sheer power available means there is plenty of scope for teasing, denial and control-based play.
Many app-controlled toys focus heavily on long-distance relationships, but I can easily see the Domi being just as useful for couples in the same room.

You might have to work out how to create a wand harness from rope; don’t worry if you’re not a Boy Scout, there are plenty of tutorials available for this.
There are also various attachments you can buy, which increase the toy’s adaptability, including a prostate attachment for men, an attachment for the clit and vulva, and a ‘Kraken’ freezable head for temperature play. These are all available to buy on the Lovense Website, alone or as bundles with the Domi 2.
Comfort and Heat
One thing I noticed during testing is that the head becomes noticeably warm during use. This isn’t surprising given the amount of power the motor is producing, but it’s worth mentioning.
Personally, I don’t think it’s a huge issue because this isn’t a toy that encourages particularly long sessions. Five minutes of that kind of power should be enough for anyone to orgasm!
If you’re someone who enjoys long, leisurely, teasing sessions, the warmth may become more noticeable.
Can It Be Used As A Massage Wand?
In the interests of science, after spending an evening comparing it against other wand vibrators, I also ended up using it on my neck and shoulders for ten minutes. While I appreciate this isn’t the primary reason most people buy a wand vibrator in 2026, by good it was good. It’s made me seriously question whether I still need my massage gun.
The deep, rumbly motor works surprisingly well as a personal massager, which perhaps shouldn’t be surprising given the history of wand vibrators as that’s exactly what they were designed to do.
Lovense Domi 2 Compared To Other Wand Vibrators

Lovehoney Classic | ★★★★★ | ★☆☆☆☆ | £ | No | No | Budget Power |

Domi 2 vs Rocks-Off Oriel
The Oriel from Rocks Off is a genuinely underrated wand vibrator. It’s stylish, affordable and perfectly capable of getting the job done.
The Domi feels like a premium power upgrade.
Domi 2 vs Lovehoney Classic Wand
The Lovehoney Classic remains a noisy old-school beast.
The Domi offers comparable levels of intensity while being rechargeable, app-controlled and far more modern, and way easier to clean than the Classic’s ridged-head design. I will hereby be retiring my Classic to the electronic waste bin as there really isn’t any call for a mains-powered vibe any more when it’s possible to get the same power from a smaller, rechargeable model.
Domi 2 vs LELO Switch
Despite the difference in power, the LELO Switch remains one of my favourite all-round wands. It’s light, it’s comfortable to hold, and it’s versatile thanks to its dual-ended design. It’s also noticeably quieter.
The Domi, however, is significantly more powerful. If pure intensity is what you’re after, then there’s no competition.

Pros Of The Lovense Domi 2 Wand
- Exceptionally powerful vibrations
- Deep, rumbly motor
- Excellent app with genuinely useful features
- Up and down intensity controls
- Rechargeable and waterproof
- Customisable intensity limits
- Great for partner-controlled play
Cons
- Louder than many competitors – this is not one for use while the kids are asleep
- Gets noticeably warm in use – probably not suitable for longer sessions
- Will go temporarily numb if you use on high power for too long!
- Includes several vibration patterns that most people will never use

Lovense Domi 2 Wand Review: Final Thoughts
The Lovense Domi 2 is not the most discreet wand vibrator, it’s not the most elegant and it’s not the quietest.
It may not even be my favourite wand overall.
What it is, however, is one of the most powerful cordless wand vibrators I’ve tested, and certainly the one that has impressed me the most.
Lovense have somehow managed to cram an absurd amount of power into a rechargeable toy, then paired it with one of the best sex toy apps currently available.
If you love deep, rumbly vibrations and want a wand that can compete with many mains-powered alternatives and sort your dodgy neck out at the same time, the Domi 2 deserves a place on your shortlist.
Just don’t be surprised if your first reaction is the same as mine. Good grief!
FAQ for the Domi 2
Not quite. The Domi 2 is rated IPX6, meaning it can handle splashes and rinsing under running water, but it shouldn’t be submerged in the bath.
It’s louder than many rechargeable wand vibrators, particularly because of its deep, rumbly motor. It’s quieter than many mains-powered wands but not what I’d call discreet.
Yes. All core functions can be controlled using the buttons on the toy itself.
Absolutely. Unlike many sex toy apps, Lovense’s app genuinely adds useful features including remote control, custom vibration patterns, intensity limits and long-distance connectivity.
At around £79, I’d say yes. It’s more expensive than budget rechargeable wands, but the combination of power, app functionality and build quality makes it one of the most impressive cordless wands I’ve tested.
